The first iPhones featuring high-refresh-rate OLED displays are the Apple iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max. Apple refers to these new displays as ProMotion Super Retina XDR. While the iPhone 13 Pro Max features a 6.7-inch ProMotion OLED display, the iPhone 13 Pro has a 6.1-inch OLED screen. Full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz variable refresh rate (10Hz to 120Hz), Dolby Vision HDR, and Ceramic Shield protective glass are all included on the screens of both smartphones. In order to conserve battery life, Apple claims that the screens on the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max change their refresh rates according to the material being displayed. Even though Apple hasn't been able to eliminate the unsightly notch from the display, it is now 20% smaller than it was in the iPhone 12 series.

The front and back camera systems of the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max are identical. The front-facing 12MP cameras on both smartphones support Face ID for safe Face Unlock. Both smartphones have a newer, improved triple-camera configuration with a LiDAR sensor on the back. The primary camera sensor is larger (12MP), with an F1.5 aperture, dual-pixel PDAF, and sensor-shift OIS. A 12MP ultrawide camera with autofocus and an F1.8 aperture is also available. The 12MP telephoto camera features autofocus, OIS, and a 3x optical zoom. AR applications and depth measurement both employ the 3D ToF LiDAR sensor.

The iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max have cameras that can capture 4K 60fps Dolby Vision HDR and 4K 30fps ProRes footage. Please be aware that the devices' 256GB or greater storage options are the only ones that support 4K 30fps ProRes video recording. Video recording in 1080p 30fps ProRes is the only option for 128GB models. These modern smartphones can also record movies in Cinematic Mode that automatically keep subjects (people, animals, and objects) in the frame and provide a depth-of-field impression (similar to Portrait Mode for images). Additionally, slow-motion video recording is enabled, but its resolution is only Full HD 1080p at 240 frames per second. Night Mode and stabilisation are supported in time-lapse videos.

The new A15 Bionic CPU from Apple is used in the iPhone 13 series. It is a 5nm chipset with a 5-core GPU, six new high-efficiency CPU cores, and two new high-performance CPU cores. Apple boasts that the CPU and GPU on its new processor are both 50% quicker. For its latest iPhones, Apple has finally discontinued the 64GB storage option. There are four storage options for the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max: 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. However, Apple has not revealed how much RAM its latest phones consume. According to reports, the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max both have 8GB of RAM.

These new smartphones have 5G (sub-6GHz and mmWave), GPS, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, UWB (Ultra Wideband), NFC, and Lightning Port as connectivity features. Both smartphones have front-facing Ceramic Shield glass protection and stainless steel frames. There are four colour options for the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max: Gold, Graphite, Sierra Blue, and Silver.

Apple has upped the battery capacities of its new iPhones to enable the high-refresh-rate display. While the iPhone 13 Pro Max is powered by a 4,352mAh battery, the iPhone 13 Pro has a 3,095mAh battery. Both phones, according to Apple, last longer than their forerunners. 7.5W Qi wireless charging, 20W fast wired charging, and 15W MagSafe charging are all supported by both smartphones. Both smartphones are compatible with a range of MagSafe cases, mounts, and accessories. Dolby Atmos dual speakers, an IP68 grade for water and dust protection, and Apple Pay are further features.

The 128GB model of the iPhone 13 Pro costs Rs. 1,19,900 in India, while the 128GB model of the iPhone 13 Pro Max costs Rs. 1,29,900. Although Apple's web store already has both smartphones, the firm hasn't yet disclosed the pre-order and shipping dates.
